Avoiding BURNOUT
I get it. As an Entrepreneur, there’s not enough time in the day to get things done. If you are like a lot of people, you’re not just a business owner. There are other demands on your time, both personally and professionally. Just because you have allotted the hours between 9-5 to focus on your “job”, your responsibilities exceed the 40-hour work week; right?
This is how we enter the twilight zone of BURNOUT! Instead of passion and excitement pushing you forward, reality takes over and exhaustion begins to pull you backwards. Sound familiar?
To avoid Burnout, you need to begin implementing the 70/15/15 Rule.
Let’s break it down based upon 40 hours/week, which is 2080 hours/year
70% = 1456 hours allocated to doing the work (28 hours/week)
15% = 312 hours allocated for business development/marketing/networking (6 hours/week)
15% = 312 hours allocated to exercise/vacation time/doctor appointments/or personal time (6 hours/week) WARNING: IGNORING THIS, IS THE #1 REASON FOR BURNOUT!
But….WAIT!
What Entrepreneur only spends 40 hours/week on their business? What about those of us who spend 60 hours/week with zero personal time? It’s impossible! I’m too busy!
If this is you, then it is time for you to step back and breathe. There is a difference between being busy and being productive. I have worked with many people who believed the path of success was paved by working 60 hours/week. This is a FALSE MINDSET.
The true secret to success? TIME MANGEMENT using the 70/15/15 Rule.
What if you could be more productive with 34 hours, including 6 hours to plan/network and implement business growth strategies , while still providing you with an additional 6 hours of personal time each and every week? Interested?
